IBC sees Indonesia’s waste challenge as a governance and investment issue, not simply an infrastructure problem. Stronger institutions, sustainable funding, reliable collection, and clearer regulations are needed to make the system work more effectively. These reforms can improve service quality, strengthen public trust, and make waste management more financially viable. With greater certainty and better implementation, Indonesia can also create stronger conditions for private-sector participation and unlock more value from the circular economy at scale.
