Unpacking Indonesia's Carbon Market Outlook Toward 2026

On 12 December 2025, IBC hosted its Year End Carbon Dialogue with Members and ecosystem leaders including the Institute for Climate and Growth Dialogue (ICGD), IDX Carbon, the International Growth Centre (IGC), and Landscape Indonesia.

Discussion centered on three 2025 developments: Presidential Regulation 110/2025 on Carbon Economic Value and GHG emission control, Indonesia's Second NDC submission, and the outcomes of COP30 in Belém. Participants examined how government direction is aligning with private sector readiness, and IBC Members flagged a shared interest in bridging knowledge between the compliance and voluntary carbon markets.

Looking to 2026, IBC previewed three follow-on initiatives: a Green Growth Roundtable at IES 2026, the Indonesia Carbon Market Academy, and a new Bioeconomy Activator Program.
