Jakarta, 10 July 2025 – The Indonesian Business Council (IBC) is proud to announce the last installment of its flagship Indonesia Carbon Market Academy (ICMA) — a technical deep-dive into Monitoring, Reporting & Verification (MRV) and Project Design Document (PDD) review. As Indonesia accelerates toward its goal of becoming a global carbon-market “superpower,” ICMA Session 4 is designed to give IBC members with the rigorous skills needed to craft a rigorous carbon project monitoring design and reporting as high-integrity carbon projects. To close off the series of workshops during the months of June and July, IBC Members representatives presented a mini PDD to their peers as a clear output from ICMA.
William Sabandar, COO of Indonesian Business Council said that by empowering our members with the technical mastery of PDD development, we are laying the groundwork for Indonesia’s carbon projects to achieve unquestionable integrity and global competitiveness. “This is how we turn ambition into action—and position Indonesia as a true carbon-market superpower,” he said.
As ICMA 2025 has finished, the next step for IBC is to prepare for New York Climate Week in September 2025, highlighting Indonesia’s private sector commitment in combating climate change and accelerating decarbonization efforts that have been taking place.
