A sector-by-sector investment prospectus for Australian businesses, produced by the Indonesian Business Council (IBC) in collaboration with the Australian Embassy.
Now in its second edition, Invested: Indonesia to 2040 maps the opportunities and pathways available to Australian investors across Indonesia's economy. The prospectus offers an updated, sector-by-sector view of Indonesia’s economic trajectory, covering healthcare, education and skills, resources and the green economy, infrastructure and the digital economy, and food and agribusiness.
For each sector, the document sets out current market dynamics and government direction, key Australian players already active in the market, and the Indonesian and international companies shaping the landscape. It also outlines major policy developments relevant to investors, including the establishment of Danantara, Indonesia’s new sovereign wealth fund, and the ongoing General Review of the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA), alongside case studies of Australian companies operating successfully in Indonesia and a guide to the support mechanisms available through the Australian Government’s Invested: Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040.
The second edition was launched at the inaugural Indonesia-Australia Bilateral Business Roundtable, held as part of the Indonesia Economic Summit (IES) 2026.
