The Indonesian Business Council (IBC) hosted the Indonesia Economic Summit (IES) 2026 on February 3-4 in Jakarta, bringing together leaders, business figures, investors, and representatives of international organizations from 53 countries. With the theme “Coming Together to Boost Resilient Growth and Shared Prosperity”, the summit emphasized Indonesia’s role as a key regional economic anchor. Economic Minister Airlangga Hartarto emphasized the importance of investment, with a focus on renewable energy and advanced manufacturing. Chair of the Board of Trustees IBC Arsjad Rasjid, stressed the need for strong government-business collaboration, while CEO IBC Sofyan Djalil underscored the business community’s commitment to driving sustainable growth. The summit aimed to accelerate Indonesia’s position as a global investment hub through strategic partnerships and policy reforms.
