IBC, Keidanren Hold Introductory Meeting to Deepen Institutional Ties

IBC's Chair of the Board of Trustees, Arsjad Rasjid, and senior leadership, including Chief Executive Officer Sofyan Djalil and Chief Operating Officer William Sabandar, held a formal introductory meeting with Chairman Yoshinobu Tsutsui and leadership of the Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) in Singapore on the 29th of July, 2026, marking the start of closer institutional engagement between the two organizations.

As one of Japan's oldest and most influential business federations, Keidanren has long played a pivotal role in advancing public-private collaboration, shaping national economic policy, and strengthening international business partnerships.

Both organizations recognized in each other a shared approach to business-led policy advocacy and constructive engagement with government, providing a strong foundation for closer collaboration between IBC and Keidanren.

The meeting reflected a shared commitment to deepen collaboration. Keidanren expressed its openness to developing concrete partnerships with IBC, including exploring joint programs and sectoral initiatives that support the economic priorities of both Indonesia and Japan.

Looking ahead, IBC will leverage the Indonesia Economic Summit 2027, scheduled for April in Jakarta, as a strategic platform to convene Keidanren members, many of them among Japan's leading corporations, for high-level business dialogues. These discussions will focus on mutually agreed priority sectors and identify tangible opportunities to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation and investment.
