IBC Hosts Exclusive Dinner in Singapore with Longstanding Partners and Friends

On the 30th of July, 2026, IBC hosted an exclusive dinner in Singapore with a distinguished group of longstanding friends and strategic partners who have played an instrumental role in supporting IBC's policy advocacy, international engagement, and institutional development. IBC was represented not only by its membership, but also by Chair of the Board of Trustees Arsjad Rasjid, Chief Executive Officer Sofyan Djalil, and Chief Operating Officer William Sabandar.

The evening was honored by the presence of H.E. Ambassador Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore; Mr. George Yeo, Member of the IBC Panel of Experts and former Foreign Minister of Singapore; Ambassador-at-Large Chan Heng Chee; Professor Simon Tay, Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA); together with senior leaders and representatives from the Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore, and Business China.

More than a gathering of partners, the dinner reflected the enduring strategic trust that underpins the Indonesia–Singapore relationship. Conversations ranged from the evolving regional geopolitical and geoeconomic landscape to the future of industrial transformation, investment flows, supply chain resilience, talent development, and the next chapter of bilateral economic cooperation. Participants shared a common conviction that Indonesia and Singapore are uniquely positioned to deepen their complementary strengths and jointly contribute to a more resilient and prosperous Southeast Asia.

IBC expresses its deep appreciation for the unwavering support extended by its Singaporean partners, whose collaboration has been invaluable in advancing IBC's policy advocacy agenda, fostering meaningful international partnerships, and shaping the Indonesia Economic Summit (IES) into a premier platform for strategic dialogue between government, business, and thought leaders. IBC looks forward to building on these longstanding relationships as it continues to deepen Indonesia–Singapore cooperation in the years ahead.
