IBC and Singapore Business Federation Sign MOU to Deepen Bilateral Business Ties

IBC and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on July 31, 2026, during a main session of the ASEAN Conference 2026, marking a key milestone of IBC's Singapore roadshow. IBC Chief Executive Officer Sofyan Djalil signed on behalf of IBC, and SBF Chief Executive Officer Kok Ping Soon signed on behalf of SBF. The signing was witnessed by Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong, Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan, IBC Chair of the Board of Trustees Arsjad Rasjid, and SBF Chairman Mark Lee. The signing brings together two of the region's leading business associations, with IBC representing leading members of Indonesia's private sector and SBF serving as the apex chamber for member companies across Singapore.

The MOU establishes a two-year framework for high-level policy dialogue, roundtable discussions, and joint participation in each organization's flagship forums and platforms. It covers cooperation on bilateral trade, investment, and economic policy issues of mutual interest; knowledge exchange and networking between Indonesian and Singaporean business leaders; and joint initiatives to grow Singaporean investment in Indonesia's Special Economic Zones. Building on this foundation, IBC will continue advancing research-based advocacy on regulatory and economic policy issues that support job creation and national competitiveness.
