On 28 October 2024, the Indonesian Business Council (IBC) formally submitted its “15 Policy Recommendations” to the Ministry of State Planning (Bappenas). The proposals, developed through consultations with IBC members, policy experts, and presidential advisors, aim to guide the new administration in advancing its national development agenda.
The recommendations were well received by Minister Rachmat Pambudy and Vice Minister Febrian Alphyanto. IBC CEO Sofyan Djalil emphasized that the policies reflect not only the priorities of the private sector but also a shared vision with government stakeholders for sustainable growth.
During the meeting, IBC also introduced plans for the Indonesian Economic Summit (IES), scheduled for February 2025. The summit will serve as a high-level platform for fostering collaboration between the government and both domestic and international partners.
Minister Pambudy acknowledged IBC’s significant role in shaping policy and stressed the importance of private sector engagement in achieving the administration’s goals. He urged continued cooperation, instructing his team to work closely with IBC to ensure the effective execution of government programs.
