From Growth Numbers to Business Reality: Priority Reforms for Business Confidence, Investment, and Competitiveness

On 4 June 2026, the IBC Business Forum brought together the business community and international development partners for a closed-door discussion on Indonesia’s investment climate and the reforms that matter most to the business community. Indonesia’s enduring appeal is supported by its large market, natural resources, strategic position, and long-term growth prospects. The key question is whether these advantages can be translated into investment decisions on the ground. That requires clear regulations, consistent implementation, and a credible policy direction.

IBC subsequently developed a set of reform priorities for further engagement with relevant government stakeholders. The focus is on practical and predictable reforms that respond to business realities and strengthen confidence in implementation. Sustained delivery will be essential to support productive investment, quality job creation, and longer-term economic resilience.
