Members of the Indonesian Business Council (IBC) were invited to a breakfast engagement hosted by H.E. Abdulla Salem AlDhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Indonesia, and H.E. Mohammed Bandouq Al Qamzi, UAE Ambassador to ASEAN, at the Emirati Residence in Jakarta.
During the engagement, Ambassador Abdulla Salem AlDhaheri encouraged IBC members to explore opportunities for deeper economic and business cooperation between the UAE and Indonesia, engaging both government and private-sector stakeholders.
The two countries have made significant progress in strengthening their trade and investment ties, including through the Indonesia–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which has helped facilitate the growth of bilateral trade. UAE investment in Indonesia’s green economy, particularly renewable energy, also presents promising opportunities for further collaboration.
IBC members expressed strong interest in expanding their market presence in the UAE and exploring opportunities for private investment, financing, and broader commercial partnerships with Emirati stakeholders. IBC welcomes this engagement as an important step toward building a stronger and more sustained partnership between Indonesian and Emirati businesses.
