Collaboration Between Indonesia and Singapore through Special Economic Zones

On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, the Indonesian Business Council hosted IBC Talks II Collaboration Between Indonesia and Singapore through Special Economic Zones in partnership with the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and Deloitte Southeast Asia.

IBC Talk II was designed as a focused business-policy dialogue to deepen private sector perspectives on the development of Special Economic Zones. The session brought together investors, operators, and business leaders to discuss the current SEZ landscape, key implementation barriers, and opportunities to strengthen Indonesia–Singapore economic cooperation through more competitive and investment-ready zones.

The discussion also built on the earlier SEZ dialogue held during the Indonesia Economic Summit 2026, reflecting IBC and SBF’s continued joint advocacy to support stronger bilateral economic collaboration.

A key outcome of IBC Talk II was to gather private sector input for an upcoming Policy Brief being prepared by Deloitte on behalf of SBF and IBC. The brief will serve as a concrete contribution from the business community and will be presented to both the Indonesian and Singaporean governments as part of a broader effort to advance practical, private-sector-backed recommendations for SEZ development.
